Articles The UC
Davis Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy is seeking articles for publication.
We are interested in professional and student-written articles that address
the concerns of children in the American legal system. We accept a broad
range of topics including family law, education law, and juvenile criminal
law. The deadlines for submissions are as follows: for winter publication,
submissions must be received no later than August 15th; for Summer
publication submissions must be received no later than January 15th. Please
allow two weeks for review. Sections The
Journal typically publishes a practitioners section in the winter and a
children’s issue in the summer. If you are a practitioner and would
like to publish a short article about your experience, please contact the
Journal for more information. We eagerly seek articles that focus on
strategies for navigating the legal system. Scholarly
Book Reviews The
Journal of Juvenile Law & Policy prints book reviews that address
scholarly works. Reviews may be submitted by scholars, practitioners and law
students. Books should be recently published and scholarly in nature.
Practitioner guides should not be included in this category. Reviews should
be no more than 2,000 words. Book reviews do not need to be in footnote
format and may include in-text references to page numbers, chapters, tables,
etc. All Submissions Manuscripts
should be double-spaced and in footnote format. Manuscripts should be in
Microsoft Word format and should conform to The Bluebook. See THE BLUEBOOK: A

editors prefer to receive submissions electronically. If you decide to mail a
hard copy of your manuscript, please include a disk or CD with the article
